How it works
It starts with one phone call
Fifteen minutes with Lana before anything is booked or paid for.
Step 2
Talk it through with Lana
She'll ask what's been going on, tell you how she works, and you'll both decide whether it's the right fit. If it isn't, she'll say so and point you somewhere better.
Step 3
Your account opens, and you book
If it's a fit, Lana opens your account. You buy the sessions you want and suggest times that work for your family; she confirms one, usually the same day.
Plans change — we know. Cancel at least 24 hours before a session and it returns to your balance automatically, no phone call required.

Meet Lana Millard
A Teacher, a Quiet Room, and Your Child
After 15 years teaching early elementary at Franklin Academy, Lana Millard kept seeing the same thing: a child who just needed someone to sit beside them and go slower. Not a program. Not a curriculum. A person.
Mason's Legacy
Moore Prep carries the name of a little boy who gave his one year of kindergarten everything he had.

In memory
Named for Mason Moore.
So she started Moore Prep — a small tutoring practice in downtown Wake Forest, working with one child at a time. It is named for Mason Moore, who poured himself into his one year of kindergarten with a joy that everyone around him felt. He passed away from cancer, and his love of learning is the reason this exists.
A portion of all proceeds is donated each year to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Mason's honor.

Sessions happen at Hatch Coworking — a calm, quiet workspace at the corner of E. Roosevelt Ave and S. White St in downtown Wake Forest. No echoing hallways, no cafeteria noise, no twenty other kids. Just a small room where your child can focus.

Sessions are 30 or 60 minutes, booked around your family's schedule.
